GARDEN DESIGN – THE DESIGN PROCESS

STAGE 1

INITIAL CONSULTATION

• This initial consultation involves Rowan Garden Designs visiting you at your home to view the site and to discuss your likes and dislikes. During this meeting, we will work with you to identify your needs and priorities for the new garden.
• Budgetary requirements: like most people, you will probably be interested in the projected cost of the scheme! At this stage we will discuss your potential budget and help advise on the best value for money options .
• During certain periods, this initial consultation is free and there are absolutely no obligations to carry on with the services of Rowan Garden Designs after this meeting.

STAGE 2

DESIGN PROPOSALS

If you choose to use our service, we will confirm our charges and arrange for the following process to take place:

• After re-visiting and surveying your garden, Rowan Garden Designs will draw up a proposed design in plan form along with some sketches to help illustrate the ideas. At this stage your input is again welcome so that the garden plan will be exactly as you want it.

STAGE 3

DETAILED DESIGN

• After the approval of the proposed design in stage 2, Rowan Garden Designs will produce detailed plans including Setting Out Plans, Construction Details and Planting Plans. These will enable the tendering and construction process to proceed.

STAGE 4

CONSTRUCTION

• The garden will be constructed in line with the agreed plans and within an agreed timescale. We will be responsible for all planting, and if contracted, will project manage any hard landscaping.

STAGE 5

COMPLETION

• Rowan Garden Designs will ensure the project is completed to the complete satisfaction of the customer and will advise on maintenance etc.
